I am part of a research group with many other Ph.D. students meet weekly as a group (we call it ‘sociotechnical health,’ not a fancy name but it fits everyone pretty well). The group celebrates accomplishments large and small, help each other navigate academic life, read and discuss research, and workshop each other’s work. More senior students, or students with particular experience in a given area, provide invaluable mentoring to other students. Please reach out if you are interested in doing research with me or my research group.
I am currently a co-lead of ASU’s Patient Work Translational Team as a project lead on a research project exploring the patient work required for a patient seeking a formalized medical diagnosis for Endometriosis, and supporting the development of an Undergraduate Experiential Learning module to expose students to qualitative research on patient work and learn research methods.
